Community Presbyterian Church of Bellefonte works diligently to meet the ever-changing needs of the communities in which we live. Our members volunteer selflessly through the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Our Troop 154 has produced 55 Eagles! We’re PROUD!
Each year, in partnership with Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital we host the bicycle safety camp, teaching our youngsters how to safely ride their bicycles, then invite them on the annual Fourth of July parade, a tradition for the past oh-so-many years.
And of course, each Christmas we present the Living Nativity, a Bellefonte tradition through three generations. Our members and children take the role of each of the characters from Luke’s telling of the birth of our Lord, accompanied by full lighting, beautiful sound and a touch of stagecraft. It is the beginning of the Christmas season for Bellefonte!
Our major teaching outreach is through our podcast, “The Casting Floor“. There you can hear each Sunday’s sermon, or download a copy for your own. We believe that the distractions of American society make it difficult to hear the voice of God. Our teaching is intended to fill in the spaces so that the Scriptures may be heard clearly from within their time of composition. It is our hope that by doing so, we may also come to hear the voice of God speaking to us today.
